We are quickly approaching the 58th Biennial Conference, "Serving Knowledge, Serving You". The conference is going to be an exciting one with great programs!
To kick off the conference, we will have at least 10 pre-conference sessions that are guaranteed to bring a wealth of information to help us become even more efficient in how we do business in our libraries and workplaces.
Our keynote speakers will be Barbara White Armstrong, Keith Michael Fiels, and our very own State Librarian, Mary Boone, who will be bringing the "State of North Carolina Libraries Address".
In addition, we will feature other great programs with author Jill McCorkle, magician and stage performer Bill Grimsley, award winning script writer Nathan Ross Freeman and illustrator Beth Krommes, just to name a few!
For your entertainment and enjoyment, you won't want to miss the ALL CONFERENCE RECEPTION being hosted at the historic Sheppard Memorial Library, featuring "The Embers". Come prepared to shag the evening away or watch the shaggers while enjoying a complete Eastern North Carolina style barbecue meal from Parkers Barbecue.
We will feature Mike "Lightnin" Wells, who will be performing at our PRESIDENT’S ENDOWMENT DINNER.
On Wednesday, at the VENDOR’S RECEPTION we will feature Bluegrass music by NCLA member Wille Nelms and his band the Greenville Grass. Also appearing at the Vendor's Reception will be the Green Grass Cloggers.
