Dear NCLA Sections/Roundtables/Committees:

The North Carolina Library Association’s 58th Biennial Conference is scheduled for

October 6th – 9th in Greenville, North Carolina.

Our theme is:

North Carolina Libraries: Serving Knowledge, Serving You

The NCLA Biennial Conference Planning Committee has begun planning for the conference.  We are excited to be the Chairs on the Program Planning Committee and we look forward to the participation of NCLA Sections, Roundtables and Committees in the conference.  Below is a Program Proposal form and working draft Conference Outline to assist in planning for each session or event your group is planning to sponsor.  Your group should select a first, second and third choice of time for each event being sponsored.  Following the receipt of these forms, the Program Planning Committee will begin creating a schedule for the conference and confirmations will be emailed to the sections, roundtables and committees by June 12, 2009.

Please fax your completed form with preferred times, room arrangements and equipment needs to Shamella Cromartie no later than May 15, 2009 or fill out the online form below.  The room arrangement will be classroom, unless you are planning a meal function (i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner).  If you have questions or need another room arrangement, please add a note in the other option or in the comments box of the online form.  Please note that program planners/presenters are responsible for audio visual equipment for section/roundtable/committee programs.   For ease of planning, please identify one person to designate as the Program Planner for your Section/Roundtable/Committee.   The Program Planner will serve as the contact person for us in the planning process.

We look forward to hearing from you and having your group participate in NCLA’s 58th Biennial Conference.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the forms.

Sincerely,
